The Wedding of Foxes
Sometimes there is a rain shower while the sun shines. And a rainbow appears. In Japan, this strange weather has been called "Kitsune no Yomeiri", the wedding of foxes. According to one theory, old Japanese people believed that foxes had a mysterious power. So they felt as if they were bewitched by foxes. And they thought foxes bewitched them to hide their wedding. I like this theory because it is exciting and romantic!
There are many traditions about foxes in Japan and they sometimes depicted as animals with witchcraft. Those traditions are very interesting so if you are interested, please search them!
By the way, depending on the area, the snowfall on a sunny days is called "Tanuki no Yomeiri", means the wedding of raccoon dogs!
